The Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of frosted sugar cookies sold at Target because they could contain pieces of wood.
The recall dated July 22 applies to 13 oz. packages of Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies, 10 count, with UPC - 85239-41250 3. The items include Lot 25195 and varied Best By dates.

The products were distributed by the Target Corporation in stores across 21 states, including North Carolina. The recall is designated Class II by the FDA, which indicates "products which might cause serious injury or temporary illness."
Around 800 cases were sold.
People can visit Target stores for a refund.
