Two pedestrians were hit by a truck on US-70 in Garner Friday morning.
Police said the people were trying to cross the street when they were hit. Both had serious injures.

The wreck, which happened just before 12:30 a.m. caused US-70 East to be closed between McCormick Street and Mechanical Boulevard for several hours.
No charges have been filed.
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker captured video of police tape lining business parking lots off US-70 eastbound. The scene was foggy, and there appeared to be shoes and debris on the road. A truck closer to McCormick Street was stopped with damage to the front bumper.
