There are so many events coming up, including Black History Month, Groundhog Day and Valentine's Day. Here is a list of events coming up each week in the Triangle area:

Feb. 1-8
Feb. 1: Black History Month: Breach of Peace Play - Breach of Peace is a play performed by Mike Wiley and is based on true accounts of surviving participants of the Freedom Rides as well as many other individuals involved in the early struggle for African-American equality. The show will be held at The Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex.
Feb. 1: Los Angeles Kings at Carolina Hurricanes - Enjoy some hockey at Lenovo Center in Raleigh.
Jan. 30 and Feb. 1: NC Opera presents Madama Butterfly - A love story of passion, sacrifice, and heartbreak, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly delivers some of the most exquisite music ever written.
Feb. 1: Monthly Pop Shop ARTernative Market - A monthly art market event at Chapel of Bones coffee in Raleigh.
Feb. 1: Teacher's Night Out With Gaspare Randazzo - Gaspare Randazzo is a teacher entering his 11th year in the classroom. When he’s not in the classroom, you can find him doing stand-up comedy where he talks about his life as a teacher. See him at Goodnights.
Feb. 1: Wicked Sing-Along Drag Brunch - Enjoy this brunch at Raleigh Improv in Cary.
Feb. 2-5: Cooking for the Kids - Cooking for the Kids is a fun, exciting competition among some of the Triangle’s premier chefs where guests and culinary judges decide which chef advances to the next round. Each extraordinary evening brings together two amazing chefs, six delectable courses (2 appetizers, 2 mains and 2 desserts) and food lovers.
Feb. 2: Winter Full Moon Walk - Enjoy this after-hours walk in the NC Museum of Art's Museum Park. Enjoy our seasonal guided moonlit walk to experience nature and art at night. Space is limited and preregistration is required — no walk-ups and no waitlist. These programs fill up fast but are offered once every season if you can’t join this one.
Feb. 3: 112: Room 112 Tour with special guests Total and Case - 112 is bringing the ROOM 112 TOUR to Meymandi Concert Hall.
Feb. 2-3: Cirque Immersif - A daringly delirious dinner—Cirque Immersif is a mystical immersive dinner show where you are on stage with the show, where acrobats caper inches from your plate and aerialists soar overhead, where waiters are jugglers and a lavish 5-course feast appears. The show is at Carolina Theatre of Durham.
Feb. 4: Pete York at Lincoln Theatre - The American singer-songwriter and actor is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his 2001 debut album musicforthemorningafter.
Feb. 5: Fiona Cauley at Raleigh Improv - Fiona Cauley uses her quick wit and dark sense of humor to give some insight into what life is like as a disabled female comic.
Feb. 5: Margaret Cho - Comedian. Actor. Musician. Advocate. Entrepreneur. Five-time Grammy and Emmy nominee. See her on stage at Carolina Theatre of Durham.
Feb. 6-7: Zainab Johnson - Zainab Johnson is a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer. Zainab’s comedy is based on her unique point-of-view, which was shaped growing up in Harlem as one of thirteen siblings in a black Muslim family.
Feb. 6: First Friday in downtown Raleigh - First Friday is celebrated on the first Friday of each month throughout downtown. Retailers and restaurants also get in on the fun with live music, vendor markets, specials/discounts, and more.
Feb. 6: The Wombats - Oh! The Ocean Tour - The band plays The Ritz.
Feb. 6-7: Gershwin & Bernstein - Presented by NC Symphony, this show will feature excerpts from "On the Town" and "Porgy and Bess: A Symphonic Picture."
Feb. 7: Gold Medal Games at Downtown Cary Park - Watch live Olympic coverage on the big screens while testing your own skills with interactive games and challenges. From spectating to competing, it's an afternoon where everyone's shooting for the gold.
Feb. 7: Women's Makers Market - This market at Transfer Co. Food Hall will be held from noon to 3 p.m.
Feb. 7: Gregory Porter - He brings his "Love is King" tour to DPAC.
Feb. 7: Junction West Galentines - Enjoy a women-owned small business market and dance party and more fun.
Feb. 7: 6th Annual Handcrafted DURM Love Market - Held at Durty Bull Brewery, this market will include vendors selling crafts, gifts, teas and more. There will also be Valentines treats and traditional baked goods, a mini petting zoo, popcorn and snow cone concession stand.
Feb. 7: Lover's Lane Valentine's Day Market - Rosecomb Beer Garden in Cary hosts this event with food, live music and local vendors from 3 to 8 p.m.
Feb. 7: Lunar New Year Market at Raleigh Iron Works - Shop from AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders) owned businesses, eat delicious food and celebrate the new year.
Feb. 7: Krispy Kreme Challenge - 2,400 calories, 12 doughnuts, five miles, one hour. All proceeds from the Krispy Kreme Challenge are donated to the N.C. Children's Hospital so that its staff can continue to provide the best care and facilities for their patients.
Feb. 7: Mardi Gras Masquerade Prom for Adults - The City of Raleigh is hosting this vibrant, masquerade-style evening where adults (21+) can get glammed up and celebrate Mardi Gras in style with music, masks, and magic all night long.
Feb. 7-8: Astronomy Days at NC Museum of Natural Sciences - Join us for a celestial adventure that explores the wonders of the universe through technology, telescopes, engaging talks by scientists and special guests, and plenty of hands-on activities.
Feb. 8: CAFA Chinese New Year Gala at Raleigh Memorial - As the centerpiece of the CAFA Spring Festival Gala — the largest Lunar New Year celebration in North Carolina — the event features stunning performances in dance, music, opera, and more, offering an unforgettable evening of cultural tradition, artistry, and community celebration.

Feb. 11: Diana Krall at DPAC - Diana Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.
Feb. 11: Lunar Lantern Lab 2026 - Craft vibrant paper lanterns, zodiac-themed art, and festive decorations that bring good luck and joy at the town hall in Morrisville.
Feb. 11: Nature in Love at Downtown Cary Park - Join Downtown Cary Park horticulturist and naturalist Dr. Patrick McMillan to discover the fascinating rituals and behaviors of the plants and animals that call Cary home.
Feb 11: The Women's Center Galentine's Celebration - Galentine's Day is an event benefiting the Women's Center of Wake County, celebrating the camaraderie of women. The event includes a buffet, auctions, dancing, and a program highlighting The Women's Center's mission, which supports women experiencing homelessness in achieving safety, stability, and housing.
Feb. 12: Joe Russo's Almost Dead - This Grateful Dead cover band will perform at DPAC.
Feb. 12: DRUM TAO - Carolina Theatre of Durham - DRUM TAO explodes on stage with a captivating performance full of flash and fire! Renowned for powerful and athletic drumming, their newest show, “The Best,” blends traditional “Wadaiko” (Japanese Drums) with modern energy and theatrical flair.
Feb. 12: AfterHours: Science of Wine - Bring your sweetheart or your “pal-entine” and join us for an adults-only evening of diverse wine, scientific exploration, and live music at this 21+ event at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham.
Feb. 13: Katt Williams - The Golden Age Tour - See the comedian live on stage at Lenovo Center.

Feb. 13-15: George Wallace at Raleigh Improv - By the age of six, George Wallace knew he wanted to be a comedian. He always enjoyed making people laugh, but he also knew the importance of an education.
Feb. 13-14: NC Symphony: Bravo Broadway - Experience the magic of Broadway as the Symphony and guest vocalists perform showstoppers from beloved shows like Wicked, Rent, Hamilton, The Phantom of the Opera, and more.
Feb. 13-14: The Great Cover Up 2026 - A stacked night at Kings with your favorite locals covering a variety of bangers for a good cause. All proceeds from suggested donations will go to various organizations in The Triangle.
Feb. 13-14: The Raleigh Stampede Rodeo - This is a full seven-event rodeo featuring bronc riding, roping, barrel racing, and, of course, bull riding.
Feb. 14: NEEDTOBREATHE – The Barely Elegant Acoustic Tour - Despite a 20-year history filled with accolades, GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum band NEEDTOBREATHE approached their latest studio album with a renewed mindset - a band still feeling they have something to prove. See them at DPAC.
Feb. 14: A Wicked Trivia at Ponysaurus Brewing Co. - A Wicked Valentine’s Day Trivia lands, hosted by Geeks Who Drink. Expect questions about unlikely friendships, emerald ambitions, popularity politics, and what really happens before Dorothy drops in.
Feb. 14: BIG LOVE with Stormie Daie at Carolina Theatre of Durham - Let’s have a lovely time while Stormie serves up fun times for the whole family. Not only will you be entertained, you will get a chance to join the action and get to experience the drag up close.
Feb. 14: Love Notes the R&B Rewind - This show features Donell Jones, Carl Thomas, and Keke Wyatt at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
Feb. 14: Rory Scovel: Know Your Enemy Tour - Rory Scovel is an actor, comedian, and writer. See him on stage at Carolina Theatre of Durham.
Feb. 14: Cupid Run 5K at Knightdale Station Park - Participants can register for a fee of $20, with the first 300 registrants receiving a race gift and a participation medal.
Feb. 14: Mardi Gras Live! - Sports and Social in Cary will host this event from noon to 4 p.m. Specialty cocktails, Creole-inspired bites, beads, masks, and all five bars open for the ultimate Mardi Gras party. Plus a King Cake eating contest.

Feb. 16: School BreakOUT February 2026 - Downtown Cary Park will host this day of fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. With artist-led booths and family-friendly craft stations, kids will explore all kinds of art.
Feb. 17-22: Hell's Kitchen at DPAC - This is a hit musical from 17-time Grammy® Award winning Alicia Keys — inspired by her life, her music and her community.
Feb. 19: Drew and Ellie Holcomb: Never Gonna Let You Go Tour - Enjoy this concert at Carolina Theatre of Durham.
Feb. 20: Andrea Bocelli - The singer brings the Romanza: 30th Anniversary World Tour to Lenovo Center.
Feb. 20-21: NC Symphony: Tchaikovsky 1812 & Violin Concerto - See this show at Meymandi Concert Hall.
Feb. 21: Cupid's Undie Run - This run starts at Motorco Music Hall. Every February, thousands of undie runners in cities across the U.S. come together, whether it be in-person or virtually, to support those affected by NF, a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.
Feb. 21-22: FairyTale Tea at Marbles Kids Museum - Dress in your storybook best and enjoy magical activities, majestic treats and enchanting encounters with fanciful characters.
Feb. 20-22: Kountry Wayne at Raleigh Improv - Hailing from Millen, Georgia, Wayne grew up with aspirations of becoming a super-star rapper, however those ambitions quickly changed when he posted a video to Facebook and became a viral sensation overnight.
Feb. 21-22: Monster Jam - See a variety of monster trucks race and compete at Lenovo Center.
Feb. 21: International Championship of Collegiate A Capella 2026 Quarterfinals - The International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella is the real life “Pitch Perfect!” See the singers on stage at Carolina Theatre of Durham.
Feb. 22: 8th Annual Chili Cook-Off at Ponysaurus Brewing Co. - Join in as amateur chili cooks battle it out to be crowned the 2026 Chili Champion!

Feb. 24: An Evening to Shine at DPAC - More than 350 Durham Public Schools students will light up the DPAC stage, showcasing their vocal, dance, and visual arts talents. The event is co-hosted by Durham Public Schools and the Durham Public Schools Foundation.
Feb. 24: Keb’ Mo’ at Carolina Theatre of Durham - He has five Grammys, 14 Blues Foundation Awards, and a groundbreaking career spanning nearly 50 years under his belt.
Feb. 24: Chrisley Show Podcast - Join Todd Chrisley for a live audience taping of his CHRISLEY 2.0 podcast at Goodnights Comedy Club.
Feb. 26: Gerry Dee at Raleigh Improv - Star of “Mr.D” on Amazon Prime and plays the role of “Templeton” on the FOX/Hulu series “Animal Control” alongside Joel McHale. He is a guest star in the new CBS comedy, “DMV."
Feb. 26: Chris Botti at Carolina Theatre of Durham - Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti has been one of the most popular instrumentalists in the world for nearly three decades.
Feb. 27: Seth Meyers: Live at DPAC - This show was originally scheduled for Jan. 24 but was moved due to the winter storm.
Feb. 27-March 1: Nevermore Film Festival - Nevermore Film Festival is a juried competition festival that programs brand-new feature and short films with an emphasis on horror, science fiction, dark fantasy, animation, and mystery/thrillers from around the world.
Feb. 28: Lucy Darling at DPAC - Lucy first captured the world’s attention in December 2024, when one TikTok clip of her improvisational crowd work skyrocketed to 21 million views.
Feb. 28: Art of the Party Gala at Durham Arts Council - The Art of the Party is a vibrant, joyful celebration of the creative spirit.
