Crime rates nearly double compared to last year for part of Fayetteville Street
The 500 block of Fayetteville Street had 47 reported crimes from January 1 through July 31, compared to 25 reported crimes in the same period last year.

Raleigh police continue to investigate who fired shots Wednesday along Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh.
