The 500 block of Fayetteville Street had 47 reported crimes from January 1 through July 31, compared to 25 reported crimes in the same period last year.

Crime rates rise compared to last year for part of Fayetteville where shots were fired Wednesday

Raleigh police continue to investigate who fired shots Wednesday along Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh.
