Second suspect arrested in 2024 Wayne County murder

A second person has been arrested in connection with a 2024 murder in Wayne County.

Deputies said Damion Lavonte Harmon was arrested by the US Marshals Service in Newport News, Virginia, on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and is accused of the death of Tyleem Qur’an Juemar Coleman.

Deputies said Coleman was found dead after he had been shot multiple times on Camp Trailee Road in the Dudley community on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024.

Harmon is expected to return to Wayne County following extradition proceedings in Virginia, deputies said.

Deputies previously arrested 21-year-old Takari Jahkir Pridgen in Coleman’s death on Wednesday, Feb. 4. He is being held in Wayne County Detention Center without bond.
