Democratic Gov. Josh Stein has vetoed 14 bills while in office. Votes to override any of those vetoes are expected to test the power of Republicans in the legislature, where the GOP is one seat shy of a veto-proof majority in the state House of Representatives.
Two House Republicans voted against the measure previously, increasing the chances that Stein's veto might not be overridden.

Senate Bill 50 would allow anyone to carry concealed handguns or other firearms as long as they're 18 or older and don't fall under the list of exceptions, such as people with felonies or dishonorable military discharges.
