"I was just feeling extremely lucky," Fidler said.
Fidler purchased an Online Play ticket using numbers he said have been lucky for him before.
Those numbers matched the four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000.
"I was in disbelief," Fidler said. "It was definitely awesome."
The prize grew to $250,000 when the 5X multiplier hit because he brought a Power Play ticket.
"This is phenomenal timing," he added. "We are currently looking at houses right now."
Fidler arrived at the lottery headquarters Tuesday to claim his winnings. He took home $178,751 after required federal and state tax withholdings.
Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot stands at $176 million annuity or $89.4 million in cash. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
