16-year-olds and 15-year-old charged with murder in Highgate Place shooting

The Raleigh Police Department arrested three juveniles on Monday in connection with a fatal shooting on Highgate Place.

Two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old have been charged with the murder of Alejandro Troncozo, who was 19.

On July 27 at 1:55 a.m, police responded to shots fired in the Highgate Place area.

Another caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing a vehicle crash into a tree in the 2400 block of Milburnie Road.

Officers arrived at the crash scene and found a man inside the vehicle who had been shot.

He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
