The Streets at Southpoint Mall in Durham launches its new social district Friday.
Imagine wrapping up a day at the mall with cocktails you can enjoy with friends and family beyond a bar and restaurant. That'll soon be a possibility at The Streets at Southpoint.
This would allow alcoholic beverages within the specified area throughout the open-air section of the mall. Open-carry drinks will not be allowed inside the shopping center.

Clayton's new social district launched Thursday, allowing people 21 and older to enjoy purchased alcoholic beverages in more outdoor areas downtown.
