Gas prices have dropped below three dollars in many parts of the country. This is the lowest price all year, and in some areas, gas is the lowest it has been in four years.

With holidays around the corner, drivers say saving at the pump will keep money for their holiday shopping.

“Anything helps right now, a little bit helps, goes a long way,” said Raquelle Jackson. She paid $2.61 a gallon.

Black Friday is less than a month away and consumer spending is expected to increase.

Patrick Dehaan of Gas Buddy said the demand for gas declines in the colder months, and the recent cease-fire agreement between Gaza and Israel has lowered prices.

Of course, all it takes is a flareup in the Middle East, or a refinery fire and gas prices will spike back up. But for now, enjoy the savings so you don’t waste your money.
