FSU welcomes more than 4,500 students to its free summer school program

One of these students, Regina Kenan, expressed her excitement about the news.
"I was like, 'Okay, they gave us a deadline. Let me get it done right now’ because you can't miss a deadline for free school," said Regina Kenan, an FSU summer school student.
Students can take up to seven credit hours to catch up or help them graduate in less than four years.
A $750,000 anonymous donation is helping cover the costs.
"Many of them need housing and a food plan,” Allison said. “We take care of that as well.
“We want to make sure that at Fayetteville State University, it's one thing to get you here, but we want to make sure we come alongside you to complete it."
Allison said he is committed to ensuring it remains free for all students.
