Audiobooks are Books Too!

Do you want to pick up a book but feel like you don’t have enough time to sit down and read?
Luckily for us, audiobooks are in fact still books and do count as reading. You can read while you're on your commute, walking your dogs, doing household chores, etc.

Now that we have established that audiobooks count as reading and can be read whenever you feel the urge and have the ability to focus at least a bit, we are left with finding the right book.
At Page 158 Books we’ve been hard at work, curating playlists of our favorite stories in each genre. You can find these playlists on our Page 158 Books storefront on Libro.fm.
What is Libro.fm? Essentially, it’s an audiobook store that supports local businesses, like us. When you shop through them, you support our store (or whichever community bookstore you choose to support).
Now back to finding the right book.
Feeling like you need to prep for Fall? Check out our It’s Basically Spooky Season playlist, which features books like A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher, Immortal Dark by Tigest Girma, and Slewfoot by Brom.
Personally, Fall is for Fantasy. If you are a kindred spirit explore our Questing Playlist for books like Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, or our YA Adventures Playlist for books like The Maid and the Crocodile by Jordan Ifueko and An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir.
Not your thing? That’s okay! We’ve got a Romance Roadtrip Playlist mapped out just for you, featuring the likes of Funny Story by Emily Henry and Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez.
Still not there? What about something from our Memorable Memoirs Playlist featuring Becoming by Michelle Obama and Maid by Stephanie Land? While we’re at it, I’ll plug my own favorite audiobooks in Gaelan’s Recs (featuring The Heart in Winter by Kevin Barry and Heavy by Kiese Laymon).
In our store, keep your eye out for our scannable QR codes. We’ll continue to create and update our playlists so that you never run out of recommendations.
We hope to see you in Wake Forest soon!
