Krisjon Clark could be back on the football field in time for the playoffs, his father told WRAL News.

Krisjon, a senior wide receiver for undefeated Cleveland High School in Johnson County, went into cardiac arrest after a hard hit on the field Oct. 17.

 “Everything went black. I still can’t remember it to this day,” he said a week later.

Krisjon returned to school and to practice about a week later, and he is wearing a heart monitor, his father said. 

"Assuming Cleveland continues to do well, then we could see him return to the field during playoffs," Kris Clark said of his son. 

Kris Clark said the family is grateful for the outpouring of support they've seen since the injury. He thanked the medical staff and coaches who worked to ensure Krisjon had proper care.
